Light at the end of a tunnel

THE END

We’ve been told writing should start with the end in mind. Come up with an idea! More ideas are better. Then create an outline, edit it, reorder it, and when you are happy, start writing. All the time with the end in mind.

EndinSite has no such rules.

Rules smother imagination and stall writing

Here we simply write and allow imagination and emotion to direct the story.

Whatever is written in a post is the end. And, it is the beginning.

This is world-building, character-exploring, and idea-developing through short-bursts of creative writing.

The End in Sight

Of course there IS an end. A goal.

The end is a book.

The end is the ability to author in the framework of generating ideas, writing and using an outline, and writing a book. The goal is to follow “the rules” in the future.

A contradiction? Absolutely, but there are no rules here.

One must crawl before walking, walk before running.

The end is being able to start.

THE END

About

All of the “hot garbage” above is meant to inspire me. It’s not an apt description of me nor at most times my writing, but it helps me. It helps me start.

There are so many parts of writing that I’m working on, and I feel that I am indeed improving. Mostly what goes through my head are the words “Tell a story.” I try to imagine someone like you sitting across from me, and all I need to do is tell you what happened.

Writing is cathartic. Firstly, pleasure is found in doing. Secondly, there is no one trying to interrupt as people are want to do during a conversation. I’m constantly working on listening attentively to others, for I know it feels so good to be heard.
